My problems started when I bought things without having enough information. I didnīt know about this forum yet! But itīs my fault.
I have a good shotgun mic, sony C-74, and I bought the ma-100 adapter for my xl-1. I tried to get batteries for this mic but I learnt they were too expensive and hard to obtain. I looked for phantom suppliers in my city and I found a cheap one that I thought it was enough.
Result: with my xl-1, this mic, the ma 100 and the phantom supplier the input sound level is very low. I think everything is ok with my camera configuration.
What is wrong? preamp is the problem? (my ignorance about sound is remarkable but I want to learn!) Reading through the forums I have learnt about mm-1 sound device, beachtek products and so on. What can i do? Throwing away all what I bought (and the money with it)? Is there any solution?
Thank you for your patience to read this
