I read the sticky on tutorials and looked at the VASST DVDs but I am not sure if they are applicable to a total newbie to editing or if they just cover the new changes in Vegas Pro 9.0.
I have Vegas Pro 9.0 (64 bit) and I am excited to get started with it and just need a good tutorial to get me going.
Any suggestions on which I should buy?
Thanks!
Bill

Hi William
There's plenty of stuff out there. There are free tutorials on the Sony website:
Sony Creative Software - Training and Support (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/training)
Sony also has a training workbook:
Sony Creative Software - Digital Video and Audio Production - Introduction (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegasbook)
One book that I found useful and one you can work through, and always refer back to, is Vegas 6 Revealed: The Official Guide. I haven't seen a later edition, but it still covers most of what Vegas can do.

I've found the newsletters from JetDV to be very usefull.

David and James are spot on. All I would say is that I found the VAAST DVDs invaluable when I started as they cover everything from setting preferences/properties to colour correction (this last on DVD No. 4).
