I just got a new PC, which I’m still having problems with.
Anyway, I have a dual monitor set-up, using the ATI Radeon 7000.
One screen is fine, however the other is out of focus. I know it's not the ideal card, however its the one I have, and it should still work.
I made a previous attempt at dual monitors, however I had the same results (this was using a different system and maybe the same card)
I have deduced that this probably is a problem with the card, however i would still like some second opinions.
Does anyone know what is happening?
I'm using the DV500.

Hi Richard,
Its not the monitor by any chance? does it still happen if you plug the 'working' monitor into the 'dodgy' place?
How blurred is blurred?
Are they both the same make and model?
This should have nothing to do with your DV500 capture card.
Could you possibly try another graphics card from a friend?
Cheers,

Hi Ed, it seems that there were incompatibilities with the DV500 and the ATI card.
My computer supplier is picking up the PC tomorrow and were changing operating system and graphic card.
Fingers crossed, this should hopefully get things working.
I was going to be using ME, but I’ve been advised that XP Pro would be more stable.
I'll let everyone know what happens.
btw, I had already switched the monitors around, and the problem seems to be coming from one individual socket.

Hey Richard,
Good choice to go to XP, as long as your system is strong enough (Most moderen*ish* PCs should be). Since your PC tech guy suggested it I would expect you'll be OK.
Make sure though you get the latest drivers from Pinnacles web site, V4.5 I think is the latest.
Do you know what graphics card you are going to be getting?
Cheers,

Hi Ed, yeah, the new system is reasonably high spec:
AMD Athlon 3.2ghz processor
1024mb RAM
120 gig HD
40 gig HD
Creative sound Blaster 5.1
DVD writer / re-writer.
Other stuff included in that, but that’s all I can remember.
I'm sooo lucky to have a really technical friend he has been advising me. He has also downloaded the v4.5 drivers for me.
I’m going to be using the ATI Radeon 9200, or something to that effect, but apparently, it’s on the DV500 approved list.
