Here is the thing:
I have media composer on my pc at work for the last 3 years.
But we recently purchased a mac pro with fcp studio 2 (and installed all the included applications) and then we also bought Avid media composer 3 for mac.
So when I opened one of my MC projects I noticed that the color correction mode was not as it was at my pc! It have been raplaced by a very advanced color correcting feature (those who 've seen it know what I'm talking about)!
Why us pc users don't get our hands on this fine feature?
Has it got anything to do with apple's color?

Thanks.

George,

Can you post a screen print of it?

I've heard anecdotal accounts of some Media Compose installs revealing Symphony's color correction tools by mistake. Perhaps this has happened for you. In which case, count your blessings and don't ask too many ?'s, LOL!

What version of MC do you have on the PC?

MC v. 3.13 looks the same on both MAC and PC to my eyes.

Ok, on the mac is the 3.05v version and on the pc is the 3.0v.
I'll post a screenshot tomorrow because I'm not at work right now...

I've never seen color correction for PAL? Otherwise, it looks more like Symphony.

You my friend are one of the lucky ones. I have no idea how or why this happens, but it seem to from time to time. Apparently MC has Symphony's features built-in but they are blocked.

In your case it seems that you have many of Symphony's color correction tools. I recall Symphony having another set of tabs to the right of "Prog Segment," but perhaps this is no longer the case.

Enjoy what you've got. It definitely doesn't come with Media Composer.
