Singapore celebrated its 44th National Day with a parade plus party. I left my wife (Sony EX1) at home and celebrated the National day with my new found lover; 5D MarkII + 17-35mm F2.8 and 70-200mm F2.8 IS lens. 50% of the shot was handheld and rest on tripod. Got some fireworks at the ending but did not see rolling shutter effect. Video was shot at 1/50 sec shutter speed. My hoodman loupe was not here yet so got a big challenge focusing. Edited with Vegas 8.0 with Neo Scene.

Thanks John,
It's good to see what the 5D can do.
When shooting at the stage area did you zoom in and focus and then pull out to frame as you might with the EX1?

I used the 10x magnifying for focusing before actual recording. seems to be even more accutare than zooming in and out again.
