Anyone have a recommendation for a leveler head/base for a Bogen 3221 'pod with a 501 head? I'm getting tired of wasting time and juggling to adjust the 'pod legs to get the cam level.
Thanks.

I know what you mean. I wish I had a ball leveler.
Depending on what mm your bowl is:
Mfr Catalog # 3141BALL
B&H Catalog # BO3141BALL

I have the same tripod/head combo. I think you want the 3502 ball leveler (B&H # BO3502), which is the one I have.
Note that when you get the 501 head mounted you can't see the spirit level that comes on the leveler, which is not a problem since the 501 head has one of its own.

That one doesn't list the 3221 as a compatible tripod for this leveler. Do you use it with the 3221/501 combo?

I can't find that one on the B&H site. Do you have a direct link to it? Is that where you purchased yours?

Yeah, I got that link. I was looking for the B&H link for the 3502 leveler Mike Hanlon mentioned.

Or search B&H for "bogen 3502"

Thanks.
I was searching in Video rather than Tripods. What threw me off is that several other levelers DID come up when I searched for "leveler" in the Video sections. Wierd.
Do you use this one? Happy with it?

Dennis,
I think you will really like the 3502 ball leveler. I have the same setup as you and don't know what I would do without it. I can get completely leveled up in most instances in less than 5 seconds.

Mark

I agree, can't imagine not having it. If I were to pick a nit though, I'd say that I wish it felt more fluid when adjusting the ball.
Mike.
