Anyone know of a good compatable non boom stand for the NT 4? Perhaps all stands are compatable with it but not sure. It is the only accessory that I have not ordered yet. I am thinking about getting a tripod base as opposed to a heavier cast Iron base as it would be easier to fold up and carry around. I do want a longer one that would be capable of going up to head level.

Any robust light stand or C stand will do. Sandbag the base for a little extra stability. The brass spigot will thread unto any standard shock mount.

A very well made and reasonably priced manfrotto stand can be purchased at B&H.

B&H buy a boat load of that model and theoir price reflects that. The stand has all aluminum collars and a load rating of 11 lbs for $52. The next best would be a manfrotto(bogen) master (3078) or ranker stand. C stands start at $100-$120.

if you're outdoors buy a grip arm or lobo clamp and mount an umbrella over the mic.

Don't forget a sandbag. have your wife, girlfriend or mother make one or buy one at B&H

I have one like that , they are handy but very short. I still find the light stands to be a tad more flexible and easier to level on rough ground. A Century (C) stand with adjustable legs would be even better.
