I am trying to use my GL2 for broadcasting events to a local network of monitors.
Does any one know how to allow the camera to remain on without having to record on to a tape?

Try this
Menu>VCR Setup >PWR Save >VCR Stop.
Then the cam should stay on without the need to record.
