hi ,

sorry if this is a stupid question, but i need to know what
i need on my system to make a vhs dub.
I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro, do i need a seperate
video card other than my ati 9800 pro? Or can i hook up my vcr somehow to either my dvc80 or computer?

I'm so confussed as to what i need to make this happen.
Many customers are asking me to make vhs dubs.

THANK YOU ALL!!!
Karen

Karen,

If you have no hardware that supports analogue out/ in, then the easiest way to do this is to connect it through your camcorder (which is connected via firewire). Render the timeline, make sure that you have preview via DV enabled, move the editline to the beginning of the project, press record on your VTR and play on the timeline. When done press stop on your VTR and Stop on the timeline.

Otherwise make a copy to your camcorder and then copy from your camcoder to your VHS VCR.

Hope this helps,
