The Pana factory has removed all GS400 information from all Pana websites, though they might have missed one. Pana still claims there will be a GS400 for the end of July, though Pana insiders believe otherwise. If there is to be a new model, it won't be the one we got a glimpse of with those official pics and official specs. It'll be a surprise, Pana claims. But this can mean 2 things: it will is a good thing or will not be a good thing.

Frank,
Have you had specific communications from a Panasonic official that they have pulled the specs and pictures because they will not be bringing that camcorder to market? Will you post the communications, with attribution?

Very interesting. I wonderwhat's up? They should just have translated the gs100 and released it, in NA and PAL land, they could've saved themselves a shite-load of R&D time and money.

Have you had specific communications from a Panasonic official that they have pulled the specs and pictures because they will not be bringing that camcorder to market?Yes. "That" GS400 will not be brought to market. E-mail me (non-HTML), and I'll give you what you want.

I don't know why and who moved this thread here to Area 51. This is not specualtion. I e-mailed Pana and they replied. As soon as I read the e-mail I posted the information here for everyone. I'm out of here. It's been fun.

It wasn't me, Frank. I don't have the power to move stuff into Area 51, only back out. So, I shall.
