Hello everyone,

Here's a video I made for a friend who was doing missionary work in Japan. This was my first time using a Letus (Extreme on an EX-1, Nikon 50mm and 105mm lenses) and my first time grading with Magic Bullet Looks. Focus-pulling was really hard, as was moving the entire rig around the room. I'm still an amateur with videography, so any criticisms or advice is welcome!

I should also note that everything was shot at 720p at 60fps but downconverted to 24fps.

Wing, for me the music seemed a little heavy for the situation small children etc. If the vid was to demo your friend teaching I don't think you need the descriptive titles for what he was doing. Its almost as though then it was for small children to read. Otherwise OK for me. What difficulty did you have with focus pulling?

Pete, thanks for the response! Yeah, thinking back on it, the music does seem a little heavy. I think it was out of desperation that I chose it. The video was actually for the curly-haired guy, so when I asked him what he'd like to express through the video, he just gave me an "I dunno". I added the titles as I wasn't sure whether he would even bring up the fact that he was co-leading a children's class.

The problem I had with focus-pulling was trying to get it spot-on. There were times where I thought that something was completely in focus, but when looking back on the footage, it was slightly blurry. Other times, I thought something was blurry, and it turned out that it was in focus.

Other than the music and titles, how were the shot compositions? I've never really learned how to set up a good shot composition, so I'm eager to learn. Thanks a lot!
