Which is the best settings for capturing with my camera

Sony FX7E PAL

I was going to use high, but am unsure if best to user Film Scan 1 or 2

Which setting will match my HDV Footage without taking up too much space?

If the source is already compressed to HDV's MPEG2, then High is fine. Filmscan 1 (or 2) is for live uncompressed feeds, where there is more information to preserve.

David, does that hold true for Intensity Pro live captures from a V1? (HDMI or component)

I know the detail recovered for chroma is definitely better even with the High setting, but is there really measurable difference between CF High and the Film Scan 1 or Film Scan 2 with the little chips, or is the true gain only with the seriously big silicon?

I know you tested the V1 very extensively a while back.

I find Filmscan 1 is sufficient.
