I read here and at dv doctor. Doctor is were I first found video camcorder information after magazines but I can not understand the British accent so well and they mostly wrote about pal model video camcorders. I know what is going on. I am not stupid. I read Panasonic gs400 is going to be good but will not be out right away. I know this and I know I am going to wait because I have no choice and I did read about other Panasonic 3 ccd video camcorder models and I saw the pv-dv953 and looks very good.

What I do not like what I read is the pv-dv953 is not so good in bad light and that is bad for recording when there is not much light. I did have recorded zr20 inside with not so good lighting and this does not look good. This is why I am going to wait for the gs400 because it was real big 1/4.7 ccds and has a big lens. This is what I want to tell you and if I can wait so can you. I did never see a gs100 and read it is very good better than pv-dv953 because it is better in not so good light but not by much. You see I have to wait.

I think all small video camcorders are good for run and gun if it has ois stabler. I have to get ready for work and I will be back later.

That's good reasoning, but what are you going to do if the GS400 doesn't perform in the low light? Buy a light, perhaps? I wonder how a minor's helmet would work for run n gun in the dork?

If the GS400 does have three 1/4.7" CCDs with 1070k pixels each then its low light performance will not be one of its better attributes.

For good low light performance you need larger CCDs with fewer pixel count.

My past Sony PDX10 had three 1/4.7" CCDs with 1070k pixels each and just about anyone will tell you about its weak low light performance.

Maybe a helmot hat for miners is a good idea because it has a bright flashlight in. This way it does not matter if the gs400 is no good in dark shooting because if miners can see in the dark then I can record like that. Were can I buy a helmot hat and how much does it cost?

I think you would be better off with a decent on-camera light if run-n-gun is what you're after.

Big lights on the video camcorder makes the camcorder big and heavy. A helmot hat light I just put on my head and is easy.

I have a nice little 20w light (with its own battery) atop my GS100 and it doesn't weigh it down at all. These little cams thrive on light.

Of course there are two other points about a helmet light.

1. Your head doesn't always point in the direction of the cam's lens

2. Chicks won't dig you and you'll have a severe case of helmet hair

no frank i don't think that is what he means. i think he has no " chick but he never cheated on and chicks before. and by that i think he means the ones he dated in primary school when he was 8.
