Did you know about the MX5's "Free-Style Grip Belt?" Yup, in comes with the cam. Here's what Pana writes about it:Use this 2-way grip belt for safe, easy carrying and also for keeping the camera snug and secure when you shoot.Neat, huh? :-))
Actually, for hand-held shooting, the strap is one of the most important things to have fastened to your hand (and cam). Keep it adjusted correctly---snug, but not too tight. The cam's ridge for your fingers is just as important. Some cams don't have a good ridge. Many of the Sonys seem to slip off my fingers because of the almost non-existent ridge. The MX300's is 50/50, in my opinion, but the MX5's is just wonderful, making it a joy to grip for lengthy shoots---and for 'er run 'n gun. :-))
