View Full Version : Speaking of LCD viewfinders Mike Rehmus April 30th, 2004, 10:18 PM http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=93548&p=irol-newsArticle&t=Regular&id=520340& Interesting. Rob Hester April 30th, 2004, 11:35 PM I think this might just be PR bs...because my 2 year old DV3000 has "- 200,000 pixel - 3.5" Color Polycrystalline Silicon LCD Monitor, 270-degree rotating -113,000-Pixel High Resolution Color Viewfinder" Mike Rehmus May 1st, 2004, 11:35 AM It ain't the resolution, it's the size. Grain of Rice size. Rob Hester May 1st, 2004, 03:45 PM ahh gotcha... how then, or why, would you put such a small lcd on a videocamera? Mike Rehmus May 2nd, 2004, 03:56 PM The size of the viewfinder just got very small except at the eye-end where the exit-optics need to be full-sized. Could make a very nice wearable viewfinder. Presumably it consumes much less power (always an issue) and it takes less room. All good things with camcorders. |
