I think this might just be PR bs...because my 2 year old DV3000 has
"- 200,000 pixel - 3.5" Color Polycrystalline Silicon LCD Monitor, 270-degree rotating
-113,000-Pixel High Resolution Color Viewfinder"

ahh gotcha...
how then, or why, would you put such a small lcd on a videocamera?

The size of the viewfinder just got very small except at the eye-end where the exit-optics need to be full-sized. Could make a very nice wearable viewfinder.

Presumably it consumes much less power (always an issue) and it takes less room. All good things with camcorders.
