The PAL NV-GS400 will sell well simply because it boosts 4 mega-pixel stills; and it's the stills function in a video cam that seems to be what everyone wants---in a small footprint of course.

Frank Granovski April 29th, 2004, 09:56 PM Don't believe me? Look at these official Pana specs and see what is mentioned first about this video cam. 4 mega pixel still picture recording mega OIS pro cinema mode high picture quality wide mode multi manual ring air soft grip 12X optical zoom USB 2.0 (HS mode) built-in flash motion video/still pic (1 mega simultaneous record) MPEG4 internet mode George Beck April 29th, 2004, 10:41 PM Frank, where did you copy those specs from? Frank Granovski April 29th, 2004, 10:55 PM Those are the specs I posted a while back. I got them from Pana technical. Those are the only ones that were sent to me. Kevin A. Tagle May 4th, 2004, 02:37 PM GS400 is going to replace the PV-GS200 right? If so, will it also have that Magic Wire remote (Mic)? I hope so, I may wait for the GS400 to come out then. Frank Granovski May 4th, 2004, 02:48 PM No. The GS400 will replace the PV-DV953/MX5000, and maybe the GS100 too---in Japan. The GS100 replaced the MX5000 in Japan. It was never sold outside of Japan. Tommy Haupfear May 4th, 2004, 05:46 PM GS400 is going to replace the PV-GS200 right? I'll add to what Frank has already said. The GS200 is actually a new cam and along with the GS120 replaced the GS70. I guess Panasonic/Matsushita sees enough 3CCD non-OIS interest to warrant two models. |
