My filter vote goes for the Cokin UV and Cokin circular polarizer for my video cams. These inexpensive filters have been the meat and potatoes as far as my useful cam accessories go.

Seller told me Linear Polarizer works only for manual cams??? But I've read some posts claiming it works fine with camcorders. I might as well try it next time. Anybody has any experience with those Close-up lenses (No. 1, 2, 3). $10 each also :-))

That's cheap. They cost $30 here. (Canadian)

Is the cokin polerizer good to have?

Cokin is a company that makes filters; they are also inexpensive. Yes, a polarizer is good to have---actually, when I shoot color stills, I either have a skylight or a polarizer on my lens. The polarizer masks glare and gives the picture a richer look---slightly darker---brings out the colours more.

I was going to buy a Cokin polering filter today for my zr20 but the store didn't sell Cokin. I have to try somewhere else and soon.

You don't have too buy a Cokin linear or circular polarizer. A Tiffen, Hoya, Vanguard---they're all good.
