Gale, what is your question precisely?

I'm assuming you want to know if you can name your movie:
"Star Wars" for example? In this case I'm assuming your answer
is not "complete", Paul?

I assumed the question was, "Does copyright protect titles?" The answer is no. You _can_ name your movie Starwars without infringing copyright. You will, however, be sued for trademark infringement.

No, actually, after I had posted the thread, I found my answer. I tried to delete the thread and it wouldn't allow me to do that. Thanks for the response though.

Hey, we're getting good -- we can answer questions before they're even asked ! ;)

Gale: perhaps you can elaborate a bit on what you wanted to
know exactly and what answer you got? That might help future
people who do a search on this.

Ofcourse normal users cannot delete threads. That's a privilege
forum wranglers have. Good thing too, we want to have most
stuff online so it is searchable for other people!

What I needed to know is where I needed to look for registered trademarks and copyrights. I also needed some info on video release forms. I found my answers on the thread titled "frequently asked questions". Go figure. Patience, sometimes, is not my greatest quality.
