We use 5 Mac servers to record a multi-cam show. We are using DVCpro50 right now. I would like to change to Prores 422 so the files will be PC compatible as well.

Is it possible to install just the Prores encoding codec from a FCP disc? I don't want to install FCP on these machines.

We use Aja VTR exchange as the capture software.

Eventually I'd like to move to Ki Pro recorders, but at this time we have no money, and Aja has no product ;)

thanks,
~Jay

I don't need a decoder for windows, I need an encoder for Mac.

I think there is a way to pull it off of the FCP install disc.
