Hi there

I been using final cut for a while now, and I been looking hard to trying to find a certain transition. I want want the transition to be an OVER EXPOSURE to the next clip.

Right now I do this by keyframing the brightness of the two clips, and throwing a cross dissolve in between the clips, however this is not exactly the look I am lookg for. I want the exposure to increase for clip A, and the exposure to decrease in clip B, not the brightness

Does anyone know how I can do this, or perhaps recommend me a 3rd party external filter which will allow me to do this?

Thanks in Advance!

Called Sapphire Effects and its the industry standard for this sort of thing.

I've attempted this kind of transition using the glow filter and keyframing. It looks alot better than simply adjusting the brightness because it targets the white areas which will blow out first followed by the mids then the darkest parts last.

Still might not be what you are looking for though, and certainly is no quicker than what you are already doing.

Rishi,

You can get that effect from FxFactory Pro from Noise Industries. Highly configurable, more affordable than Sapphire and expandable to dozens of add-ons. I consider FxFactory to be the best suite of filters and effects at any price for FCP and AE.
