I have a mole-richardson 1k nooklite with complete barndoor set which gives a nice, even, broad throw. I'd like to purchase a cheap softbox for it, but I'd like to know everyone's recomendations. Chimera is out of my price range. I'm thinking about something from JTL since everyone seems to like the 3 piece softbox kit, or possibly something from photoflex. Which box would be best for me and what do i need to attach it to this light?

I'm liking the build integrity and light quality of my recently purchased Photoflex. Here's their site to look at: http://www.photoflex.com/photoflex/index.html

You probably need a ring for the nooklight and the soft box. Read carefully as some of the softboxes are for strobes and not hotlights. If I had a nook or a tota I would have used that with my light. But I purchased the location kit instead which I think is a real bargain for the money. Here's a link to the B&H site: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=280002&is=REG
Hope this helps...no affiliation with anyone.

Somewhere on the Photoflex site they have ring ID numbers for the light with which you wish to use it. Or call them with your light specs ie: is it a Mole nook light or a colortran? and so forth...
