Hi, everyone, I'm new so please don't laugh! Anyways, I'm going to begin shooting a small movie in a month with some friends. It will be pretty basic, I just wanted to try and do my own spin on a sword fight scence (overdone I know). Anyways, I'll be shooting in standard 4:3 (US, NTSC) resolution, in cinema mode (fake widescreen for us lowend DV owners). Anyways, I'd like to incorperate Flash into the beginning of the movie, to not only display Osiris Cinema (the name I've picked out), but to also do a simple title effect, etc. My question is, when you shoot in 4:3 what resolution is it. I've seen many different answers to this and want to make sure that I put together something in Flash that will be the appropriate size when I go into post-production. Thank you very much!

It seems to me like you want to do a letterboxed 4:3 flash file. So set the size to 720x540 and then letterbox appropriately (if you want). That size is the correct aspect ratio for square pixels, which is what Flash and the computer use. TV uses non-square pixels.

Alrighty, so 720x540 is the standard 4:3 resolution (U.S. wise). So I should make my flash avi the same size, obviously. Sweet. Thank you very much!
