"This rare set of three optical components make it possible to photograph compressed images with the Nikon camera on 35mm film"
Doesn't this sounds just like what we want in order to get an anamorphic image with the XXXX35 adapters?
I could be entirely wrong...thoughts?

I formatted the data from the site for dvinfo:
I tried to understand the cylinder lens thread(http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23076)...and it seems we'd need a 1.33x compression factor? So, are these useless?

No replies huh? I really though this would be something...a 35mm lens which is already set up for anamorphic...it's killing 2 birds with one stone...
ah well..

Hey Rob, may be you need to post this on the Aldu static 35 thread. Eventhough it doesn't belong there, those guys are very knowledgeable.

From the auction:
"The third component, the anamorphic adapter, attaches to either the camera lens or the projector lens when in use."
I don't understand, how is that anamorphic adapter any different then the one's already available from Century Optics and panasonic?

From the pictures, it looked like it had a 35mm lens connector...not sure what these are called...but that there would be absolutly no fabrication needed to attach the anamorphic adapter to a 35mm lens.
This, plus the fact...nevermind! wow...that sucks. When I posted this link, the auction was @ $30. I didn't think that this thing would skyrocket up to $200...I was thinking $60 tops.
Sorry guys, thought I had found something that'd be added value to our el cheapo adapters.
