Just had one of those bizarre conversations with Prime Support. I had sent in my EX1 for repair because, amongst other things, the lettering on the right rear panel (BATTERY RELEASE and SDI OUT) had rubbed off. Prime Support tell me that a problem has been identified with the left rear panel and the back panel, and these can be changed. However, no problem has been identified with the right panel so that cannot be changed. Saying that there clearly is a probblem because the lettering is fading is to no avail - the factory says no! Anyone else finding that the right hand lettering is going the same way as the left and rear?

So they used different paint on the right side than on the rear?

I'm assuming that because the lettering on the right is not next to any controls which are turned or slid, the wear has taken longer to become apparent. As you say, the idea that two panels were marked with a special weak paint whilst the third used the proper stuff is hard to believe.
