If you don’t like watching kids for 5:36 minutes please stop here…
Family, Mud and vertical lines on Vimeo (http://www.vimeo.com/5656539)
My GH1 is back to the shop due to severe vertical lines but left us with nice memories after visiting the family during last weekend.
I was putting my professional cameraman hat aside and filmed like a father.
My aim was to use it like “home video” and not like a “film camera”. Editing is quick and dirty, and I am sure you will see the beauty and ugly footage this little camera can make.
Camera mode: creative, smooth. 1080/25 (if you survive watching it all, from 4:10 it is 720/50 uprezed to 1080).
Various shutter speeds with the intention to stay on 50 (my ND filter did not come in time)… + kit lens
Edited on Premiere CS2, footage was converted with Prospect 4k to AVI.
Contrast/brightness adjustment and reducing red color a bit.
Music: Copyright Free Music and Royalty Free Music Library (http://www.akmmusic.co.uk/)
For me this is a missed opportunity by Panasonic. It is so close yet so far away for being a perfect camera. I hope the vertical lines could be fixed by firmware update and more advanced work can be done with confidant.
Thanks.
Johnnie
