Just double checking something - the record time on the GH1 is limited to the capacity of the card, right? So, if I'm recording something, it's not going to cut out at an arbitrary time, like the 5DII's 12 minute limit...

Looking at page 106-107 of the GH1 (American English) manual,
Recording in MJPEG mode, recording stops when the file size reaches 2 GB.
Judging from some recent clips posted to Vimeo by Paulo Teixeira, the recording rate in 720p30 MJPEG mode appears to be ~30 Mbps.
So a MJPEG clip has a maximum time of ~533 seconds or ~8 minutes 53 seconds.
Recording in AVCHD mode, recording stops when the memory card is full.

What Bill and Manus said..
Also you've got a remaining footage counter which is clear and easy to read on the LCD and the EVF. So if you do run out in mid shot you've only got yourself to blame!

Hey Manus. Where did you get that info from? Is there a link somewhere?
