Hi,

I am importing M2T clips shot on a Z7 to Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 using Log & Transfer with the Sony Recording Unit Plugin, and the clips are trimmed aprox 2 secods at the begining and end.

I view the clips on other software like VLC and I see the whole clip, but FCP cuts out the begining and end, therefore losing material...

Anyone knows what this is about??? Thanks!

I tried ClipWarap [http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/jvc-gy-hd-series-camera-systems/127888-clipwrap-m2t-quicktime-hdv-wrapper-now-available.html] and it does the same thing.

The problem isn't with FCP, it's with the way the Z7U records clips to the CF cards. FCP can't import the missing two seconds at the end of your clip, because the missing 2 seconds was never recorded in the first place.

This is one of the "gotchas" I warn people about (and demonstrate) in Vortex Media's Z7U training DVD.
