Ready to buy one of these, but still haven't heard if the audio buzz has been fixed in the DR HD100, any word, anyone?
Secondly, it looks like the extra $500 for the MR HD100 is for the meta data part, is that all?
TIA,
Ed

It is also much smaller, lighter, quieter, and better on batteries.

Basically it does the same.
The startup time is longer with the MR-HD100.
Advantages over the DR-HD100 are:
- possibility to add meta-data through iPhone while recording. Makes it a breeze while editing to find a shot.
- More flexible to create your own directories and to select them from the unit to record into that map.
- NTFS system which doesn't cut long recordings into 2Gb files.
- New upcoming firmware will have on screen thumbnail browser and playback.

Thanks guys,
Yeah, I knew about the specs. I'm really trying to get at the reliability.
Meta data is cool, but I don't know I'd use it. The 2gig Fat32 limit makes the
MR100 more attractive. I still haven't heard anything recently about the audio buzz
problem with the DR100. If it's gone I'd probably go with the DR to save $.
