I encoded a 3 minute movie from Premiere using the Media Encoder. I set it to DVD MPEG2 with the highest bitrate 9. After authoring the menu in Encore, I tried to burn but got the error "Bitrate too high". I went back and re-encoded at a slightly lower rate which fixed it but I'd like to know why would the media encoder allow me to select a bitrate that's too high?
When I encoded with the audio separate form video I got this error when I went to build in Encore http://i39.tinypic.com/nmeu8o.gif
I went back again and re-encoded with Multiplexing selected and it got rid of the error. Can anyone tell me why?
There are a lot of things features I like over Apple but I'm getting the impression that the encoding and authoring part is very buggy.
