Hey guys. Regarding getting that film look I have a few question for you.

1. About the 35mm Adapter. Could someone please explain to me how this works and give me step by step directions in how to make one.

2. What program would I use to convert normal 30p into 24p ?

3. In Vegas Video and Ulead Media Studio 7.0 what would be the ideal setting for Contrast,Color Correction,Brightness...ETC in order to get that film look.

As you may see, im a noob when it comes into making videos look like Film. Im really interested and willing to learn how to make my Videos into a work of art.

Cheers,
Cory

1. we have a dedicated forum (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=70) for this, so please read the threads there. See also this thread (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23552) in that forum

3. there are none. There is no magic film look setting. It totally depends on your footage and the specific look your after. Even though Black Hawk Down, Titanic and Amelie where all shot on film they look totally different

Why do you think the "filmlook" makes your video's turn into art?
I'm afraid there is a lot more to that than the "filmlook". Story is
the most important factor. Professional shooting (lighting, framing,
editing, audio recording, music etc. etc.) with good actors a
second.

If it was all as simple as your 3 points than we would all be major
movie directors and whatnot.

Actually there is a program you can use to convert 30p or 601 into 24p. See DV Filmmaker (http://www.dvfilm.com/maker/index.htm) from the Austin-based DV Film company. There is a free demo available for download. Give it a try. Hope this helps,
