I'm in the market for a soft case for my HM700.
I like the PortaBrace Hiker Backpack product:
* PortaBrace - Product Detail:HK-2B (http://www.portabrace.com/productA-HK-2B)
(Maybe a different PortaBrace backpack would be a better fit, see below)
As well as their Quick-Draw case:
* PortaBrace - Product Detail:CC-HD1 (http://www.portabrace.com/productA-CC-HD1)
But both are, well, a bit pricey. (Of course, a high price is justifiable if the product protects your camera from certain doom compared to a cheaper product...)
But I'm not familiar with other brands/products out there, so I'd love to hear recommendations.
FYI, the HM700 camera with the Fujinon 17x5 lens mounted, and the Anton Bauer tandem charger with Dionic 90 battery pack mounted is 24" long. It would be nice to leave everything mounted for sto-and-go and quick setup. With the viewfinder and mic mounted, the top front area of the camera is about 9" wide (6" without viewfinder), and the whole affair stands about 9.5" tall.
