I recently completed the the firmware update for the Flash XDR, and was eager to test out the SD record functions in the new firmware. However, when I completed my test shots(various shots around the office as well as me sitting in front of the camera making idle chatter) I found that the audio was WAY out of sync. A good 30 seconds out of sync if not more.
Interestingly, when I opted to try the Analog audio as a second test, the audio was in sync. (I used the audio outs on my camera, RCA, and went into the XLR inputs on the Flash XDR using a homemade cable)
Setup:
Flash XDR with most current update installed
JVC GY 250
HD-SDI connection between the two
BNC cable for connection(I tried three different cables all offering the same result)
Flash XDR audio selection, Embedded
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have gone through all the camera menus to try to see if I can isolate the problem to the camera but I can't find anything that jumped out to me as the cause of the problem.
