I don't get it... I've connected the camera to the computer before, via USB, and it just shows up on the desktop. This time, for some reason, I can't get it to appear.
Can anyone advise me? (I've checked the manual, and I see nothing that can help).

This had me stumped for a while as well.Could be a number of reasons.Make sure that it is in playback mode.What has happened sometimes also is that the settings in the playback mode menu have had the USB mode changed to the DVD burner instead of computer /printer.Go into the settings menu and change that and you may sort out your problem.

Henry you were right. Made the correction and it now works perfectly.
