I am printing to tape on FCP and nothing is recording to the tape. It seems to be initializing, the record light come on the tape deck, sounds like its rolling, video playing on the screen, but no footage printed on the tape????? Any ideas????

In the future try to make your title more descriptive so others can chime in or, find this thread for reference...

First make sure your timeline is fully rendered, then make sure sequence settings match what the tape deck is capable of recording, i.e. DV isn't going to HDV etc. Some decks will see the "record" signal from FCP and start rolling even if there's a format mismatch.

You might want to describe the setup: What deck? How is it connected? What are your settings? Procedures? Etc.
