I am on 64bit Windows Vista sp2, I installed Microsoft Windows Media Encoder 64bit edition.

When I try and open a Cineform HD AVI File I get an error message about no codec can be found to use the Cineform file.

If I then uninstall the 64bit version of Microsoft Windows Media Encoder for the 32bit installer I can then open the Cineform files. Is there anyway to get the 64bit version of Windows Media Encoder to read the Cineform files?

Thanks,

Leo

no...not until Cineform releases their 64-bit codec

Thanks Bill, hopefully it will be soon that they release the 64bit version.

I read in a separate thread that Cineform is waiting until Sony fixes other issues in 64 bit Vegas. After that's done, they'll release the 64-bit version of the Cineform codec.
