Hey All,
I'm a commercial producer in Gainesville, FL for the CBS/MNT/NBC affiliate. Just today my GM and Engineer stopped in my office and informed me that we would have the ability to begin to air 1080 quality video, for in-house promos, commercials and shows.
My engine, assuming I have a good grasp on everything he knows asked me if I can output MPEG-2 finished spots. In the past, I've not needed to. With FCP 5 and Compressor 2 I can edit HD footage and output a lot of ways (including MPEG-4, which I'm told is not good for broadcast). Can anyone steer me in the right direction or do I simply need to update to the newest version of Compressor, which my GM doesn't want to hear.
Thanks for any help!
