Hey folks,

I bought a Sony PD-150 as a back up camera (in a part-exchange) a while ago and was wondering how much you think it would be worth as I'm planning on selling it on.

Totally love the camera, but I'm working with a Panasonic HMC-151E now and I'm really not using it as much.

I got it for approx £1500 here in the UK from a reputable dealer at the beginning of the year, has a nice camera bag a long life battery, and two normal batteries. Everything works tickety-boo, so was just wondering how much you think should put it on the market for? The PD-170 goes for around £3000 so perhaps I'd get half?

I'm not sure the usage of it, I'll check the forum to try find out how I can tell this, but by all accounts had no problems myself.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance

Matty

i donno if this is much help, pd150's tend to go for between 6 hundred-ish and 1000 pounds on ebayuk from what i've seen in the completed listings.

Hi Matty.....Just bought a PD170 last week from a broadcast dealer, it has 350hrs on the drum and I got it for £1000 including bag, batteries x2, WA lens and hood.

I didn't think that was a bad deal......needed to replace my 14 year old Panny EZ1 DVCam.

And I have read all the arguments for "everyone wants HD WS".....no they don't, not in my industry. Everything here is displayed back on computer monitors at 4:3 at pretty lousy resolution.....I had a hell'uva job finding a pro type SD DVCam which wasn't WS.

Hopefully it will last until I retire now LOL.

Best regards david
