I have dragged and dropped my video clip into shake and only half of it appears in the viewer, even if I click 'fit viewer to image'.

Is there a 'fit image to viewer' function, and if so how do I activate it?

did you try manually zooming out; pressing the minus key while the mouse is on the viewer window?
