I am trying to install the 2.0 upgrade. I reformatted the hard drive to make sure I wiped off any video files. Then I attached the FS-5 to my computer.

When I try to drag the FS5.bin file into the root directory, it says I don't have enough room on the hard drive. What???? There's no video files stored on the thing! Windows is telling me there's almost 56 gb on the drive. 56gb of what????

Anyone else having problems?

the hard drive should be formatted in FAT32.

yes, after I re-read the manual, I realized that. So I reformatted and the upgrade went smoothly.

Now I know why I see so many "RTFM" replies on here. Duh!

Can the fs5.bin file be found anywhere for download?

You want version 2.0?? If so, you'll have to see if someone has it, as it's not available from Sony.

v4.02, the current version, is available here:

Seems strange that the date stamp on this thread says 2009, but the FS5 wasn't even announced until 2015. Time travel?

The FS-5 was not a camera...(https://www.videomaker.com/article/c5/13712-focus-enhancements-fs-5-100gb-direct-capture-device-review/)

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I was hoping it was time travel.
