I left my Canon XLH1 for repair once I noticed 3 burned pixels in my image (it could be more pixels but I am referring to three different spots in recorder image). The repair estimate was just over $400 and dropped by 20% since I decided to talk to Canon rep for more details (courtesy discount...)

I have just received another re-estimate of my order where it is noted that "... upon further inspection tech found unit requires replacement of Mount Assy,3CCD." and it is over $800 now to complete my order.

Anything strange here?
