How does one insert images into a post?
View Full Version : How to insert images into post? Jeff Harper May 25th, 2009, 06:12 AM How does one insert images into a post? Edward Troxel May 25th, 2009, 06:46 AM Below where you type the message, click on the "Manage Attachments" button. Jeff Harper May 25th, 2009, 07:04 AM Thanks Edward. Trevor Meeks May 25th, 2009, 12:06 PM Thanks Edward. I prefer to use the tags instead of the attachment method. First, put [img] then a full URL to an image, including it's extention, then a tag and you've got yourself an image! Chris Hurd May 25th, 2009, 12:23 PM The [img] tag will *not* work in every forum on this site. It'll work only in certain boards. The problem with [img] is that it could be used to hot-link from another site, which is most uncool. And there's no guarantee that the link will continue to be active. If it's taken down from the host site, it'll just be a broken link on this end. That's why we prefer to host images directly on DV Info Net -- just use the Manage Attachments button as Edward describes above. Thanks, Chris Soucy May 28th, 2009, 01:51 AM Can someone, anyone, please tell me how this "Multi Quote" button is supposed to work? I've clicked, fiddled, clicked again, tab'd forward, backwards, upwards and downwards and the &*^%$ thing does nothing! This dinosaur is obviously missing something, what the heck is it? I click on it, hit "reply", go to the reply screen and I get one chance to use a quote. After that, it's "program it yourself, chum" as all other options just bail me out of my reply for ever. It's gotta work better than that, surely? Help! CS PS: Just to add insult to injury, I've just discovered this has ended up in the "How to post.....". Bugger. Guess it's just not my day! Bill Busby May 31st, 2009, 02:17 AM Chris, when you click the multi quote dealie, it's marked with a red dot (or is it orange?). You do that for every poster you want to quote, then you can simply hit "post reply" and all the people you want to include as being quoted is there. Edit to taste. Voila! HTH. Bill |
