View Full Version : Video Wall
Dale Guthormsen May 24th, 2009, 10:43 PM Good evening,
can I do this?
I want to run my first two thirds of my video as a single full widescreen, 1.33.
the last third I want to run video wall with either 4 or 6 panes simultaniously of course, then end with full frame credits.
any necessary trick to do it?
thanks!!!

Can you do it - yes. But why are you asking the question?
any necessary trick to do it?
A] Tracks
B] Patience!
But slightly more seriously, what is it you think is going to be difficult?
My take on this is:
1] The WS is the Project setting.
2] The other media you can squish using Pan/Crop OR Track motion.
3] The FULL Frame credits will be on the topmost track, visually spanning ALL the tracks in the wall below.
I've got both Edward Troxel's Excalbur and VASST's UliSPro - both have the facility to setup these Video wall type projects, but you can HomeCook these too.
Dale, just do it. If you get anymore issues get back here!
Grazie

Terry Esslinger May 26th, 2009, 12:17 PM Yes, but only works in Vegas 8.
Edward Troxel May 26th, 2009, 12:53 PM According to the Sony forum, it works fine in Vegas Pro 9. It simply installs in a Vegas Pro 8 specific folder so you need to copy the files into the corresponding Vegas Pro 9 folder.
Terry Esslinger May 26th, 2009, 03:22 PM As per that same forum
"A version for 9 will be available soon"

I looked for it in Vegas 8 folder but couldn't find it.
Dale Guthormsen May 27th, 2009, 08:52 PM Thanks for the information gentlemen!!
The job was actually very easy, just built the wall seperately, rendered it to cineform avi and then imprted it to the project timeline.

Terry Esslinger May 28th, 2009, 10:03 AM Well now, how did Edward edit a Bill Ravens post?
Are all of our posts subject to edit by someone else?
Bill Ravens May 28th, 2009, 10:15 AM big brother is watching, Terry. Ed has super-powers
Edward Troxel May 28th, 2009, 11:11 AM Terry, I'm a moderator on this forum. I only made a modification in this case to further clarify. Guess I could have simply made a new post but figured it would be easier by editing. I very rarely edit things but, occasionally, things do get edited or removed or locked. There definitely was no malicious intent here.
Harold Brown May 28th, 2009, 08:08 PM Ok thanks I found it. But for me it is different because I have Vista.

Edward Troxel May 29th, 2009, 06:31 AM Yes, you are correct. The actual path will vary depending on which OS you are using. Glad to see you found it. Bottom line is it needs to be located, the corresponding "9.0" folder needs to be made, and then it has to be copied to that new folder.
