Hey guys,

I have an A1U that I shoot with, and I would like to know what "exactly" is in focus, when the "infinite" symbol is displayed.

1) Is it everything after a certain distance from the lens?
2) Will it be accurate if I put a wide angle or telephoto lens on it?

Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

Moved from Open DV to Sony A1.

Basically it is everything beyond a certain distance, but what that distance is depends on

1) how much you are zoomed-in - more will appear in focus at wide angle

2) how much light there is - more light = smaller aperture = more depth of focus

So there is no simple answer.

Edit:
Didn't realise the question was double-posted, and there was another thread with answers.
