Ordered the camera from B&H on April 28... wish it would get here! It's tough to be patient. I sent them an email and they replied with the standard "Our Answer Is: Please be advised this is not a regularly stocked item. Estimated arrival at B&H is 7-14 business days."

The waiting is killing me.

Yeah, for a few weeks back in March they didn't have any and once they got some in I purchased mine and received it 3 days later.

I decided I couldn't wait. I actually feel a little guilty but I bought it from a well known online store (rhymes with glamazon)--they even had the same YES warranty. I did buy a Bebob and battery from B&H.

Whats up with B&H on not having the HMC150 as a regularly stocked item? Its such a popular cam, it does not make sense. Is it a supply issue from Pnasonic?

I think it is a semantic thing. I think 'accepting orders' means they have an allotment coming and you will be put in line to get one. When it says 'back-ordered', that allotment has been sold out and you are out of luck until Panasonic can send more.

But the wording on the website does seem to be misleading. Rather than it not being a normally stocked item, they CAN'T keep it in stock.

It's not B&H's issue, it's Panasonic's.

That's why you're seeing a $200 increase across the board. Supply and demand.

Whats up with B&H on not having the HMC150 as a regularly stocked item? It's interesting that B&H is accepting orders for kits but not for the camera alone. Apparently demand is so high they can afford to shut out those who won't buy a kit.
