I was wondering if there is a cheep way, under 300$ to monitor the EX3 on the Apple 30" cinema display in HD using the HD SDI output or some other output. I am doing it with the component out to a Dell right now but there is interference in the picture. I need about 25' of cable to get away from the camera.

Thanks!!!

This is closest. SDI to ANYTHING is NOT going to be inexpensive. You can go to HDMI but I don't see DVI.

Maybe this at about $680
AJA | HDP SDI to DVI-D Converter - HD and SD Input | HDP | B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/353159-REG/AJA_HDP_HDP_SDI_to_DVI_D.html)

Take a look at Blackmagic Designs HD Link.

According to the specs tab, the max output resolution on that is 1920x1200. Apple 30" is 2560x1600.

Take a look at Blackmagic Designs HD Link.

Similar problem here. It looks like you need HDLink Pro ($495) if you want to output to a 30" computer monitor (dual link DVI). As far as I can tell, the regular HD Link can only use single link DVI. The standard HD Link seems to be discontinued now though, so if you have a 1920x1200 monitor, maybe this is a good way to get a cheaper converter, and it looks to be more compact than the HDLink Pro too, if that matters to you.

I don't know if the 30" Apple monitor can scale up 1920 res video.
