Does anyone have a good solution for collaborating and sharing very large video files with team members across the internet? Any free file sharing websites out there that are working for you?

I use humyo.com - Online File Storage & Backup, Access Documents Anywhere, Share and Collaborate on Files (http://www.humyo.com) for my team at school but it only allows 10GB but works flawlessly.

If your using HD footage, might be worth renting a server or possibly torrent the zipped file.

I use mailbigfile.com

Up to 2 gb file transfer, just £10 per year.

I use this as well sometimes, and I like it. Works for me.

I mail DVDs, but that's mostly because my partners in New Zealand get charged $10/GB!

Even 10GB is tiny for a video project of any size. That's to say nothing of the time it would take to upload it. Mail or express shipment is the best available practical way.

Alan,

Take a look at https://secure.logmein.com/. The File Transfer & Share features have pretty much replaced FTP for our group.

I know many people who don't have a good relationship with their IT guys just use ichat or Yahoo to transfer large files. But remember that upload speeds on home DSL and cable are very slow.

Someone suggested 16 GB or 32 GB Thumb Drives. I'd rather upload, but after a 9 hour upload for 5 1/2 minutes of video this weekend (1.1 GB), mailing a thumb drive seemed like a better and better idea.
