Should I bother with the 24p mode?
Should I use cinemode instead of aperture or shutter speed mode?

BTW theres a lot of pink in alot of my test shots, what color correcting program would be best to get rid of the pink?

In the custom video settings, back down the brightness. Unless you're going to try and lock exposure with the cell phone trick, this will help you keep from blowing out the brights.
Should I bother with the 24p mode?
Do you like the look of 24p? What will you be shooting? Those answers should help form your decision. The use of 24p is an artistic decision unless you are shooting action sport, where it's just less desirable in most cases, but there may be artistic reasons why one might want to try.

White balance manually. That should help. If you do that and it still skews to funny hues, you might try cheating the white balance with some tinted cards. That could be trial and error and yield some unexpected results so it might just be better to do what you can with the white balance and clean it up in post.
