I'm new to the video editing world and was wondering if anyone knows if there is any software training or workshops for Sony Vegas Pro 8? I live in Oklahoma and i'm looking to find someone local or even in the state to give some hands on training. Anyone know of a source? Thanks.

Unfortunately workshops for Vegas are extremey rare so you'll need to look at some software training.
The two that I'm aware of are from Class On Demand (http://www.classondemand.net/ClassOnDemand/vegas-training/completev7.aspx) and VASST (http://www.vasst.com/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=31&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=66).
Both are for older versions of Vegas but the underlying principles are still the same.
