I want some RAW footages from the cams.
I am buying the FX1000, so I want to check the original quality of cam.

I think both cams have same quality.
So, please someone upload few .m2t files from any cam on Rapidshare.

Or if there are already some on the web, please tell me.

you eventually want the FX1000 right? So shall I shoot some 1080 50i?

That would be nice, since FX1000 don't have Progressive CMOS like Z5.

You know this camera better than me, so do what you think is best.
I just want to know the correct quality that FX1000 can deliver.

If you are yet to shoot, please do shoot in various light situations.
Because I am going to use this cam for DVD Film projects.

I am too in PAL world, so 50i will be the best.
Please upload RAW .m2t files.

That would be nice, since FX1000 don't have Progressive CMOS like Z5.
The FX1000 and the Z5 have exactly the same chips. The only difference in this regard is how they record progressive footage to tape.

There are other differences between the two cams, but the chips aren't among them.

Ravikant, just with this statement then I would suggest for you to buy the Z5. You will be more flexible in your DVD film work with this camera.

Hey Boudewijn, thank you very much for the footage!

But because you were little quickie as you said, the footage doesn't show me the camera's total pixel capacity. It's over-exposed bright in all the places which eats up all the details in the video.

The footage showing something in - normal exposure, more than 1/60 shutter speed, lower contrast - in manual mode would be really great for me to see the actual pixel sharpness of the picture. Mainly someone's closeup! Please try if you can.

Poke on through the Z7 & S270 forum too if you're looking for samples.

These four cameras will all produce nearly identical footage. If you're wondering about what one looks like, you can check out any of these four cameras (Z7, S270, Z5 & FX1000), and you're have a good idea of how they perform.

I own a Z7 & think that was a better purchase for me, as I have invested in lens adapters & other lenses.

If you want to do professional work, then buy a camera w/ more professional features (most importantly, XLR inputs). If you're a doing this as just a hobby or as a student, then the FX1000 can work. But every professional video NEEDS professional sound, and XLR inputs are the audio inputs of professionals.

That alone is a good enough reason to upgrade beyond the FX1000.

You will need to register with vimeo so you can download the original 1440x1080 MPEG files. Footage is unprocessed apart from the cross dissolves.
