I have started a great new project creating an "in house" media server which feeds each hotel room. The problem is finding a decent and afforadable software solution for scheduling and playback.
Basicly I want something that will palyback a daily playlist for up to a month in advance.
I checked out a product called OTS AV TV, which is decent but needs everything encoded into it's own codec and will only accept mpeg for input.
The Infocaster product is great but expensive and setup to work with their hardware.
anyone have experience with scheduling video for playback? cheers.

I remember reading (some years ago) a testimonial on the Matrox web site about a product that enabled you to run an in-house TV station off a computer, and was being used at a US Army base.

Please accept my apologies for not being able to remember the name of the product, but this might be a good start for your search. Please let us know what you end up doing in this regard.
